The Orono Chess Team is one of the best teams in the state. We went undefeated in the season, and took first place in the playoffs in our league.

With 16.5 points, we won the state championship on March 11. The top five players were Liam Farrell, 4-0, Tommy Owen, 3-0-1, Tomasso Wheeler, 3-1, Sam Slavin, 3-1, and Henry Clarke, 3-1.

Now we are going to move on to Nationals. So far we have done very well, but Nationals is where we are going to face the most challenging players.  We will have to focus and use all of our skills to place in the National Tournament.
